Boat Dock Construction on Old Hickory Lake

Old Hickory LAke

Old Hickory Lake is home — and we mean that literally. We built our reputation right here on these waters, and we've been constructing and repairing docks on Old Hickory longer than anywhere else we serve. If you own waterfront property on Old Hickory Lake and need a new dock, a repair, or a boat lift, you're in the right place. We know this lake, we know the Army Corps of Engineers permitting process, and we know how to build something that lasts.

What We Build on Old Hickory Lake

Whether you're starting from scratch or fixing what you've got, we handle it all:

  • New floating dock construction — custom-designed to fit your shoreline and your lifestyle
  • Dock repairs & expansions — from a single broken board to a full structural rebuild
  • Boat lift installation & service — we sell and install Boatfloater lifts in 4,000–10,000 lb capacities
  • Anchoring systems — built to handle Old Hickory's water level fluctuations
  • Swim platforms & dock accessories — the finishing touches that make your waterfront complete

Pricing on Old Hickory Lake

We believe you should never have to choose between quality and affordability. Here's what to expect:

  • Dock repairs start at a $500 minimum service fee, up to several thousand depending on scope
  • New floating docks with single covered slips typically starting around $25,000. On Old Hickory Lake, most projects stay under $50,000 due to Corps of Engineers size limitations
  • Boat lifts installed from $9,000 for smaller capacities; $15,000+ for larger models

Every project gets a detailed quote upfront — no surprises.

Permitting on Old Hickory Lake

Old Hickory Lake is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, which means any new dock or major modification requires a permit. We handle that process for you. Permitting typically takes 5–6 weeks. We manage the paperwork, communicate with the Corps, and keep you updated every step of the way. You focus on planning your dock — we'll handle the red tape.

Booking & Lead Times

We stay busy — especially during peak season. Here's what to plan for:

  • March through November: 12–14 weeks out from contract to construction start
  • December through February: 6–8 weeks out

The earlier you reach out, the sooner we can get you on the schedule. Spring and summer slots fill fast.
